Minolta Freedom Escort Quartz Date – 35mm Point & Shoot – Leica Mini II Cousin – Tested, Good Condition

The Minolta Freedom Escort Quartz Date (also sold as the Minolta Riva Mini, Pico and Panasonic C‑625AF) is a compact 35mm autofocus camera from around 1991. While branded by Minolta, this camera is closely related to the Leica Mini II—they share the same core design, lens assembly, electronics by Matsushita, and were both built to Leica’s design specifications .

What’s included:

•Minolta Freedom Escort Quartz Date body

•Built-in 34 mm f/3.5 prime lens with sliding cover

Condition:

•Fully tested: autofocus, shutter, flash, motor film advance, and date back all working

•Lens and viewfinder optics are clean — no haze, fungus, or separation

•Date imprint function works and can be disabled

•Battery compartment clean (uses a CR123A lithium cell)

•Light cosmetic wear from normal use; no structural damage

A compact, reliable camera whose performance is on par with the Leica Mini II—except for a different badge. If you’ve ever admired Leica’s photo quality without the red‑dot price, this is essentially that camera in Minolta form .
